Little Wild Horse Canyon

My girl friend Erin and I went on a camping trip in Utah this last weekend.  We went hiking in Little Wild Horse and Bell Canyons on Saturday and spent the night in Goblin Valley, exploring a little there on Sunday before coming home.  It’s amazing to think how much the earth has changed over time, Utah was beach front property back in the Jurassic and it’s one of the better places in the U.S. to see the history of the earth laid bare.  Besides spectacular geology, Utah has plenty of amazing fossils, most famously dinosaurs, like those found in Clevland-Lloyd dinosaur quarry.  The places we visited have such surreal landscapes that I’m going to post pics of Little Wild Horse & Bell today and Goblin Valley tomorrow.
