I went birding near Bardia National Park in the community forest one morning during the annual grass cutting, when I was advised wildlife in the park would be unusually disturbed.
The morning was cool and beautiful and I saw many birds new to me (which I admit is a lot of birds, I’m barely a birder in any sense of the word). One of the birds I saw was this beautiful black hooded oriole (Oriolus xanthornus). Granted, the photos aren’t great but they’re what I’ve got.
