White Sands is a recent addition to the parks, changed from a national monument to a park under president Trump. It’s also a surreal and gorgeous piece of southwestern desert like nowhere else I’ve been. Since White Sands is dog friendly, Erin and I were thrilled to visit this winter with our pups. Enjoy my mediocre attempts at capturing it on camera.
